Vizag woman’s death in Madanapalle brings to light kidney racket

The death of a woman belonging to Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam at a hospital in Madanapalle of Annamayya district has brought to light an operation of a kidney racket from the steel city.

According to reports, a gang has approached the family members of the woman, Yamuna, and struck a deal for sale of a kidney for Rs. 8 lakh.

The gang, which allegedly had a tie-up with the hospital in Madanapalle, took the woman to the hospital. However, she died during surgery. The gang tried to cremate the body in Tirupati.

Having come to know about it, the police swung into action and arrested two persons in connection with the racket.

Meanwhile, her mother Suramma told the Vizag police that her daughter was kidnapped in the name of taking to picnic.
