iTAAP to provide 18,000 IT jobs by next year in Visakhapatnam

With an aim to provide 18,000 IT jobs in one year at top-notch IT and ITES companies in Visakhapatnam, Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh (iTAAP) has prepared a plan seeking ideas from Central and State Governments.

Being an associate for various IT sectors, iTAAP is concentrating on the rise and development of the industry by working on academics.

Addressing a media conference in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, MP K Haribababu along with iTAAP officials and different University officials mentioned various employment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.

“Companies including Franklin Templeton, Conduent, WNS Global Services, Tech Mahindra, Patra BPO, Concentrix, ACN InfoTech, Miracle Software and Symbiosis Technologies would be providing IT jobs to 10,000 in 2019”, Haribabu said.

Also, the MP mentioned that there are 3000 job vacancies in 25 to 30 IT enterprises along with 5000 jobs which would be provided by new establishments.

“Salaries are being offered on the basis of freshers in graduation and special skills. Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 are being offered to freshers with graduation and Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 for the skilled ones”, the MP said.

B Pharma, M Pharma and Life Sciences would help the Health sector, B Com, M Com, BBM and MBA in the financial sector, Mechanical and Civil Engineering would help GIS and CAD jobs. To provide essential students who are capable in their respective fields, iTAAP is working closely with Andhra University by creating exclusive short-term courses. A MoU has also been signed between the University and iTAAP.
