Three-day reverse buyer-seller meet concludes

As many as 88 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the three-day International Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM), organised jointly by the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (AP MSMEDC) and the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in Visakhapatnam, which concluded on Friday. The meet brought together more than 40 overseas buyers from 25 countries and over 250 MSMEs from across Andhra Pradesh for one-to-one business talks.
Addressing the valedictory session, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of sustained market-access initiatives in enabling MSMEs to understand international market requirements, improve product and packaging standards, establish direct connections with overseas buyers and integrate into global value chains. Overseas buyers appreciated the diversity and quality of products presented by Andhra Pradesh enterprises. They expressed interest in continuing discussions with shortlisted suppliers and exploring long-term sourcing partnerships.
Participating sellers also welcomed the opportunity to engage directly with international buyers, understand country-specific requirements, and receive valuable feedback on pricing, quality, certification, packaging, and delivery expectations. Both buyers and sellers praised the Government of Andhra Pradesh for creating a focused platform that provided MSMEs with direct access to international markets. They observed that such initiatives substantially reduce the challenges faced by smaller enterprises in identifying and connecting with genuine overseas buyers.
The participating MSMEs represented a diverse range of sectors, including agricultural and processed food products, spices, rice, marine products, food ingredients, textiles, chemicals, engineering products and other value-added goods. The successful conclusion of the meeting reinforces Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship, enhance MSME competitiveness, strengthen international market linkages and support the sustainable growth of the State’s exports.
