The GVMC has proposed cycle tracks in various parts of the city.
Ketan Garg, Commissioner of GVMC, who visited areas like Mudasarlova, Radisson Blu, and Sagar Nagar, along with Chief Engineer Satyanarayana Raju, on 17 December, instructed officials to prepare proposals for developing cycle tracks in the city.
Stating that cycling would help people stay healthy, Ketan Garg suggested places for laying the tracks.
He directed the engineering officials to prepare proposals for cycle tracks around Mudasarlova Park for a distance of five km and from the area near the Radisson Blu hotel to the Sagar Nagar beach. He said the cycle track around Mudasarlova should be made attractive. He also instructed the engineering officials to prepare estimates for putting up a national flag measuring from 75 to 100 meters near the TU-142 aircraft museum opposite the submarine on Beach Road.
Later, he inspected the site for the construction of a working women’s hostel in Madhurawada. During this visit, GVMC Superintending Engineer Yedukondalu, Andhra Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Asset Management Limited (APUIAML) Regional Head Chetan, and GVMC Assistant Engineer Srinivas accompanied him.
