Unemployment is undoubtedly one of the biggest challenges being faced in our country. Owing to its large scaled prevalence, an air of desperation has got into the stride of many individuals who have been investing in several employment agencies, hoping to either kickstart their careers or secure a better job. However, cashing in over their desperation, there has been a rise in the number of fraudulent agencies and job brokers who end up duping the job seekers with fake jobs. The city of Visakhapatnam too has had its fair share of cases in regard to this issue.
Recently, an increasing number of cases of fake jobs are being reported to the city’s police. Reportedly, two cases, which claim that the victims were allegedly looted by fake agencies, have been registered at the city’s 4 town police station. Apparently, the fraudsters, who got to know the desperation of the victims, lured them with attractive jobs and charged hefty amounts from them in the name of training/consultation fee. The victims soon found out that after paying the amount, the fraudsters were not able to be contacted and lodged a complaint with the police. The cops are looking into these cases to gain further insights.
The recent cases have once again testified the fact that it is imperative to verify the authenticity of an organization or a job consultant before investing a whopping fee.
