Movement of heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the national highway after 7 p.m. on 28 October, according to a press note issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA).
The decision has been taken as Cyclone Montha, which is likely to cross the coast tonight (28 October) between Machilipatnam and Kakinada, may trigger very heavy rain accompanied by winds ranging from 100 to 150 km per hour.
Heavy vehicle drivers have been advised to park their vehicles in safer places.
