CM terms Vizag summit a historic event

Visakhapatnam has hosted a huge event where a record number of MoUs were signed, attracting investments on a large scale, according to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the media at the end of the two-day CII partnership summit in Visakhapatnam on 15 November, the Chief Minister described it as a historic event, observing that such a gathering was unprecedented.

Giving the details, the Chief Minister said as many as 613 MoUs were signed, bringing investments to the tune of Rs. 13.25 lakh crore. As a result, over 16 lakh youth would get jobs, he said, adding over Rs. 20 lakh investments were attracted in the past 17 months.

The summit saw the participation of 5,587 national and international delegates. Besides investments, the participants also exchanged ideas, according to the Chief Minister.
