Several MoUs were signed on the first day of the ongoing CII partnership summit in Visakhapatnam on 14 November.
The agreements made at the summit include those for the establishment of a mega mall by the Lulu Group on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam and for the operation of flights to Singapore from Andhra Pradesh.
The mall, which includes an eight-screen multiplex complex, will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,200 crore. The project is expected to create over 7,000 jobs.
Besides, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu virtually laid the foundation stone for a drone city and space centres.
While Drone City will come up in Kurnool, space centres have been planned in Tirupati and Lepakshi. The State will set up the centres as a part of its Space Policy 4.0.
