Vizag summit gets off to an encouraging start

The two-day CII partnership summit got off to an encouraging start at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds in Visakhapatnam on 14 November.
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, who arrived in the city in the morning, inaugurated the prestigious meet, which was attended by Governor Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Ministers, and delegates in large numbers from 72 countries.

Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu, while describing Visakhapatnam as a beautiful city, said: “It has vast resources besides picturesque locales and it is the right destination for investments.”

With several industrialists showing interest in investing in the State, Andhra Pradesh would become a gateway for India, said the Chief Minister.

People have immense faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi, and the country would become the number one economy by 2047, he observed.

Mentioning the greatness of Araku coffee, the Chief Minister said, “We are promoting it at the global level.”

Listing the areas in which there was a vast scope for investments, the Chief Minister appealed to industrialists to explore opportunities in the State to establish their projects.

“Google is all set to open its largest data centre in Visakhapatnam. Similarly, the Quantum computing centre is coming up in Amaravati,” claimed the Chief Minister.

“Aiming at building a healthy, wealthy, and happy AP, the State government is striving to achieve the goal,” he said.

Earlier, the Governor, Union Ministers, and State Minister Nara Lokesh spoke at the inaugural.
