Over 15 children and some women sustained burn injuries when hot starch fell on them during a poor-feeding programme held at Jalaripeta in Visakhapatnam on 4 October.
According to reports, the children, along with the women, were at the place where food was being prepared.
The injured are getting treatment at KGH.
Visakhapatnam South MLA Vamsikrishna Srinivas, who was in Vijayawada to meet Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, talked to the hospital officials over phone and directed them to ensure better treatment to the injured. He said that doctors should be available for treatment of the children. Some of the injured were discharged after first aid, while over 10 persons are being given treatment.
