The Andhra food Festival is being conducted at the Capital Hotel in Guntur by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority from September 4 to 10, 2018.
Starters and the main course of both Veg and Non-Veg have welcomed people in a ballroom of the hotel. The food placed in a row along with carved vegetables gives an idea of tasting every dish at the festival.
Showcasing the tradition of AP, fresh veggies and sprouts in the vegetarian menu and Kodi Vepudu (Chicken Fry), Bamboo Chicken, fish fry in the non-vegetarian menu are the list of starters provided. While Chicken Pulav has been included in the non-veg main course, Lemon Rice, Tomato Rice and Jeera Rice are a part of Vegetarian menu. Also, Tomota Pappu, Mudda Pappu, Potato Fry and a variety of pickles are included alongside.
Ariselu, Kobbai Bureli and Cashew Nut are the items in the list of sweets at the food festival.
Tourism Secretary, Mukesh Kumar Meena, said, “AP Tourism Authority is organising food festivals to popularise the local dishes. Guntur is a land of spices and chilli, so we have included a lot of pickles including Gongura. Andhra cuisine is known for its variety and tingy taste. We have already created a brand for Bamboo Chicken.”
