Adivi Sesh movie Major gets a new release date

It’s been a while since the fans have received any update on the release of Adivi Sesh-starrer movie Major. The movie was originally slated to release in May 2021, before the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic arrived. It’s been a long wait for Adivi Sesh fans but his movie Major finally has a release date.

In his preparation for the role, the Telugu actor had to undergo rigorous physical training, which took a toll on his immunity. So, then he came down with dengue and had to be hospitalised in Hyderabad. It’s been more than a month since that and the actor has now fully recovered. And the movie has now got a new release date. Major will be releasing in theatres on 11 February 2022.

Starring Adivi Sesh in the lead, the movie Major is a biopic on the martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed his life during the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The film also has Vizag actress Sobhita Dhulipala (who is a frequent collaborator with Adivi Sesh) and Saiee Manjrekar, along with Prakash Raj and Revathi who will be portraying Major Unnikrishnan’s parents. The movie is being made by Sashi Kiran Tikka of Goodachari fame as a bilingual movie, shot in Telugu as well as Hindi.
