3-year-old girl child murdered in Visakhapatnam

In what came as a terrifying news, a 3-year-old girl child was found brutally murdered near Duvvada Sector-1 in Visakhapatnam. Identified as Alekhya, the deceased was the daughter of R. Krishna and Meenakshi.

Reportedly, all was not well between Meenakshi and Krishna, who married another woman, Durga, a year after Alekhya’s birth. This has given rise to multiple speculations as to what might have led to the young girl’s murder.

Alekhya, who was playing with her friends till Monday evening, went missing suddenly. The same was brought to Krishna’s notice when he returned home from work at 7:30 in the evening. After searching for Alekhya till late in the night, the couple registered a missing complaint with Duvvada police. However, much to the shock of everyone, the little one’s dead body was found the next morning near the house of Krishna’s second wife.

In regard to this case, the police have interrogated Krishna, Durga, and other relatives of Alekhya. While the family members reportedly have pleaded not guilty, the police have also started exploring other avenues to gain further insights on the case.
