In line with its vision of ‘better food for more people’, Zomato expands its online ordering and food delivery services to Surat, Vizag, Bhopal and Bhubaneswar. With the launch of services in these four cities, Zomato’s online ordering services are now spread out across 21 cities in India, including – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Indore, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Ludhiana.
Zomato has partnered with around 500 restaurants across these four cities. With live order tracking, an average delivery time of 35 mins and more, Zomato looks to offer its consumers the convenience of hassle-free delivery through their own delivery fleet in Surat, Vizag, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar. The service is available seven days a week.
Commenting on the launch, Mohit Gupta, CEO – Food Delivery, Zomato said, “Growth in tier 2 and tier 3 cities has been really encouraging for us and we want to continue to penetrate the country and reach out to more and more people, and make their interactions with restaurant much more seamless as compared to what they are right now. We recently launched in 4 new cities and the response has been exceptional. As an example, we have already clocked over 1000 orders a day in Vizag in under 10 days since the launch.”
