Weekly special train through Duvvada to handle festive season demand

Due to the high demand for trains on the Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad railway route, one more weekly special train has been announced to cope with the rush during the upcoming festive season. It will begin operations from 15 October, 2021 and will run till 6 November, 2021. This festive special train will run between Tatanagar and Kacheguda railway stations, stopping at Simhachalam North railway station and Duvvada railway station near Visakhapatnam. 

Train no. 08197 Tatanagar-Kacheguda weekly special train will leave Tatanagar at 5:15 AM every Friday from 15 October, 2021 to 5 November, 2021. It will reach Duvvada at 8:50 PM and then depart within two minutes for Kacheguda, where it will arrive the next day at 11 AM. 

In the opposite direction, train no. 08198 Kacheguda-Tatanagar weekly special train will depart from Kacheguda at 12:45 PM every Saturday from 16 October, 2021 to 6 November, 2021. The train will then arrive at Duvvada at 1 AM the next day for a two-minutes stop, and then onward on its journey. It will reach Tatanagar railway station at 4 PM.

Along its journey, from Tatanagar to Kacheguda, this weekly special train will stop at Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvathipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Simhachalam North, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Krishna Canal and Guntur railway stations.

This new train will consist of 4 third AC coaches, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches, 2 Second Class-cum-Luggage/Disabled Coaches. 

This weekly train will be largely helpful in coping with the high passenger demand in rural areas near Visakhapatnam and Duvvada. 

Bhubaneswar-Pune train and Visakhapatnam-LTT trains to run on diverted routes.

With safety-related modernisation works on the Daund-Kurduvadi section of Solapur Division of Central Railway, the following two trains will have to run on diverted routes:

#1 Train no. 02882 Bhubaneswar-Pune weekly special train will run through the Solapur-Kurduvadi-Miraj-Pune route from 19 October, 2021 to 26 October, 2021. The same train in the opposite direction, train no. 02881 Pune-Bhubaneswar weekly special train will also run on the same route on 21 October, 2021. 

#2 Train no. 08519 Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus special train leaving Visakhapatnam will also run on a diverted route, via Vikarabad-Nanded-Manmad-Ippuguda route, from 18 October, 2021 to 26 October, 2021. The same train in the opposite direction, train no. 08520 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Visakhapatnam special train will also run on the same route from 18 October, 2021 to 28 October, 2021.
