Vizag weather update: Low temperatures expected in the city

The people of Vizag have enjoyed a rather beautiful week so far, with the city witnessing cloudy skies and low temperatures every day. In fact, the weather has been kind right from Sunday when citizens celebrated Independence Day 2021 on a rainy morning. It was earlier predicted that the overcast weather and the rainfall would leave Vizag by Wednesday, 18 August 2021. But it now looks as though this blissful weather might stay for the rest of the week.

As per the forecast for the next 7 days by Cyclone Warning Centre Visakhapatnam, this rainy weather is likely to continue up till Monday, 23 August 2021. During this period, the occasional thundershower can also be expected in Vizag, with the city temperatures are expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius. But from Tuesday, 24 August 2021, the chances of rainfall drop severely and the city is likely to get cloudy skies at best.

Vizag had yet another beautiful morning on Thursday when the skies were cloudy and there was light rainfall in certain parts of the city. And the rest of the day is expected to be just as good. Apparently, the core low-pressure area in the sea is triggering these drizzles over the city.

Monsoon has been fruitful this year in Vizag, with the city witnessing more rainfall compared to last year. With Covid-19 largely keeping people at homes, citizens have had to enjoy the rains from their balconies/terraces.
