3 projects that are expected to materialise soon in Vizag

A number of projects have been promised to the shores of Vizag. The projects, if materialised, would expectedly bolster the city’s image and help it flourish with many more opportunities. Here are 3 such projects that have got underway and would be materialising soon.

#1 NAD Flyover

The NAD junction is one of the prime centres in the city and faces traffic related issues throughout the day. A busy junction, which is a part of NH5, that is well connected to the airport and other prominent locales in the city, this place requires better management of the traffic congestion and the upcoming NAD flyover is deemed to do the same. The works on the flyover had started last month and are expected to be completed by November 2019.

#2 Walmart

The much-awaited Walmart store in Visakhapatnam is likely to start its operations from July this year. The retail giant’s store in Gajuwaka

, spread over 56,000 sq ft, is at an advanced stage of completion. It has also been learned that the store is being constructed with an estimated investment of Rs 60 crores.

#3 LuLu group’s convention centre

UAE-based LuLu group is all set to construct its convention centre in the city of Vizag. The much-awaited project, which will be constructed with an estimated investment of Rs 2000 crore, had its foundation stone laid by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu recently. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2021, will have more than 200 national and international brands, hypermarket, 11 screens multiplex, family entertainment centre, food courts with 2,500 seats and more than 20 F&B outlets and fine dining concepts, it has been learned.
