Vizag Police nearly complete their drive for solutions to ease city traffic

The Vizag City Police who set up a special committee to find solutions to ease the multiplying traffic in the city has completed their survey in the South of Vizag yesterday. They have visited various places and collected suggestions from the commuters themselves. 300 people have given suggestions towards the same.

 

The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) C.H. Adinarayana said ” We have already completed the survey in 6 sub-divisions of the city. We have one more left which will be completed tomorrow. After which the committee will list out the best suggestions and submit a detailed report to the Commissioner of Police.”

The Police have completed the survey in Dwaraka Nagar, Madhurwada, East, West, Harbour previously. The Police have completed the survey in the South of Vizag yesterday. They have scheduled to cover the North of the city tomorrow, post which the committee will form a detailed report.

The request was previously made by the Vizag City Police through their social media channels, asking commuters to come up with solutions to ease the traffic. A committee was formed with Dr. Mukund Dangeti, professor in Department Of Civil Engineering, GITAM University, P Satyanarayana, traffic signal system expert, TSR Prasad, retired Additional Superintendent of Police, Balasatish Chamakura, managing trustee, Visakha Safety Council, Training and development trust and Venugopal Rao, SE Works, GVMC. They will be coming up with an action plan in 7 days says the Twitter handle.

The major complaints received from the commuters were regarding, over-speeding of two-wheelers, overcrowding main roads with wrong parking of vehicles and not following the lane system. These complaints along with solutions will be reported to the Commissioner of Police,  Manish Kumar Sinha within a few days.
