On the occasion of Independence Day, Deputy Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chinarajappa, has attended the ceremonial programme at Police Grounds in Vizag city. The minister has lionized the city’s growth as a tourism city and as a financial capital of Andhra Pradesh.
The minister said that top-notch companies are coming front to invest around Rs 3000 crores in Vizag. The Rs 190 crores Millennium Towers is close to completion of construction and the Chief Minister will open it soon, the minister mentioned.
The minister said that the IT Ministry of AP has an aim of creating 75,000 jobs in Visakhapatnam and already succeeded in creating 25,000 jobs. The two times CII Partnership Summit helped in raising Rs 55,532 crores out of Rs 16.40 lakh crores investment raised for Andhra Pradesh.
The Minister said that Rs 156 crores would be invested for upgrading the tourism sector of Araku. The Buddhist tourism at Thotlakonda, Bhavikonda, and Bhojjanakonda would be elevated for Rs 20 crores. Rs 1602 crores smart city works are going fast, the Minister said.
