' India Goes Pink' Visakhapatnam
Arena Events brings back to Vizag the Pinkathon, India’s Breast Cancer Awareness Run. After a number of places under the ‘India Goes Pink’ movement, it is the turn of Visakhapatnam now. ‘Vizag Goes Pink’ is scheduled for January 7th, 2018. This is happening under the umbrella of Pinkathon.
Fitness promoter, model and Pinkathon ambassador Milind Soman interacted with media and people here to shed light on the breast cancer awareness run an event in Visakhapatnam. He expressed the delight at how the event created space for women across the cities to come together as a community and extend support to the country’s largest running event dedicated to women. Gearing at taking up health and fitness into one’s hands, the awareness run is one of it’s kind. This will be the third edition and this is expected to draw a huge crowd of supporters and volunteers and runners.
The theme of the run which seeks to raise awareness about breast cancer is “Every Woman is Welcome”. All are invited to participate and as Milind Soman says, 10 to15 minutes of time is what one needs to set aside every day.
The event is being organised jointly by Arena Events and United Sisters Foundation (USF). Those interested can enroll themselves in the run which will be held in three categories – 3-km, 5-km, and 10-km on the beach road. For those who enroll before December 25th, there are special offers.
A special offer 1+1 offer, that exists until 31st December, allows those who register, to bring along one of their companions for free of cost.
