Summer generally proves to be a golden period for Tollywood. Several big-ticket Telugu movies hit the screens during the season to keep the audiences hooked. This year’s summer too, thus far, has proved to be a good one for Telugu film industry. While Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam has been raking in massive numbers at the box office, Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu too is emerging as a huge hit. Going ahead, an exciting lineup of movies is deemed to set May alit as well.

#1 Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India

Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India marks the directorial debut of Vakkantham Vamsi. The film stars Allu Arjun in the role of an army officer, while Anu Emmanuel will be playing the female lead. The film is set to be released on May 4th.

#2 Mahanati

Mahanati will be depicting the real-life story of popular Telugu actress Savitri. While Keerthy Suresh plays the titular role, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha, and Vijay Devarakonda portray other prominent characters. The film’s teaser, which was released recently, has got us all waiting for May 9th.

#3 Mehbooba

Mehbooba will be featuring director Puri Jagannadh’s son, Akash Puri as the lead. Set in a war-backdrop, the film has raised got the film lovers intrigued with its trailer and Puri Jagannadh’s confidence over the movie. Mehbooba is set to hit the screens on May 11th.

#4 Taxiwala

After scoring blockbusters with Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda is all geared up to try his luck with Taxiwala. Produced under the prestigious banners of UV Creations and Geetha Arts, Taxiwala is slated to be an engaging thriller and would hit the screens on May 18th.

#5 Nela Ticket

Nela Ticket promises to be a signature Ravi Teja film. directed by Kalyan Krishna, the entertainer is expected to release on May 24th and if the recently released teaser is anything to go by, the actor’s fans surely seem in for a treat.
