Noted Telugu actor Vinod, who is known for his roles in multiple films, passed away during the early hours of Saturday. Reportedly, the actor suffered a severe brain stroke after which he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. The character artist was aged 59 years.
Vinod, whose real name is Aarishetty Nageshwar Rao, had acted in close to 300 Telugu films. Debuting in Keerthi Kantha Kanakam in 1983, Vinod went on to play a variety of roles in the films of several superstars of Telugu film industry. His roles in the films such as Chanti, Lorry Driver, and Indra won him several accolades and established him as a successful character artist. Vinod also acted in a few Tamil films and many popular TV serials.
The tragic news has come as a major shocker to Tollywood and many people have offered their condolences to the deceased’s family. Vinod is survived by his wife Veenavati and three children.
