Stereotypes to Kill – Stereotypes about Vizag

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Vizagites face many stereotypes from people from other states, sometimes, even from people here. There is a box that the rest of the country has fit us into. People seem surprised when we seem to speak proper English, cause I mean, where’s the Southie accent? Here’s a list of stereotypes Vizagites face:

Dark Skin

This is the general notion that everyone has about Vizagites that they are dark skinned. Tbh, few of us are judged as Punjabi or Bengali. And hey even if we are, Mocha is the new Vanilla.

Madrasi

Madrasi Kaun?

Typical. NO. Not every Vizagite is “Madrasi”. Literally, this city is a mix of different races and just so you know all of us together make Vizag, The City Of Destiny.

Spicy Food

Nom nom nom

Spicy food isn’t always our forte. We agree that we are a land with variety of spices but we do let our taste buds relish various cuisines.

Narrow Minded

*sings off-key* EVERYBODY DANCE NOW…

Hell no! Just because we haven’t had a proper platform to portray ourselves doesn’t mean we are narrow-minded. We are more out-going, knowledgable, have great taste in music & movies be it tollywood, bollywood or Hollywood. We are big movie buffs.

Village

*heart eyes emoji*

Village? Um. Does a village have Inox Multiplex? High-end car showrooms? 5 star hotels like The Park, The Gateway Hotel or Novotel? 24hr electricity & water supply?

Yeah, didn’t think so! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
