Chief Minister Announces Precautions for Cyclone Warning in Vizag

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave precautions for the Cyclone Warning announced by the Cyclone Warning Centre, Vizag today on his Twitter. The cyclone has been named Roanu. He urged everyone to stay indoors and stock up on food and water supplies. He also cautioned fishermen and Vizagites from venturing into the coast

. He held a teleconference with the Collectors and directed them on how to stock up food and water packets.

The Times of India reported that a senior official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, had predicted heavy rains for the city. The district administration has reportedly opened a 24-hour control room

at the Collectorate with the toll-free number 1800-425-00001. People affected are urged to contact said number. Cyclone Roanu is said to intensify in the next few days. We hope everyone stays safe!
