Skaters From Visakhapatnam To Participate In Selection For World Roller Games

Skaters from Andhra Pradesh between the ages 13 & 17 are soon going to participate in the World Selection Trials for Roller Artistic Skating in Chennai. The selections are to be held from 3 to 5 June.

Upon their selection, these skaters will go on to participate in the World Roller Games 2017 that will be held in Nanjing China from 26 August to 10 September. The following skaters from Visakhapatnam & Krishna district will be participating in the selection process. Led by Coach P Satyanarayana are T Visweswara Rao, AB Shahith, K Mohan Kiran, Priyam Tated, Riya Saboo, D Venu Vardhan, P Hari Kamal, B Anmisha, B Arun Kumar and R Farheen.

P Satyanarayana is coach to the Indian skater team and he will be accompanied by Coach Ch Simhachalam too. These skaters will be participating in three training camps. 2 weeks of training in Tiruchirapalli from 6 to 18 June, 2 in Visakhapatnam from 10 to 24 July and the final in Chandigarh before leaving to China from 10 to 24 August. The team will depart to China on 25 August.

Out of the above mentioned skaters, R Farheen, B Arun, T Visweswara Rao, Priyam Tated, AB Sahith and Riya Saboo have won medals for India in the Silver and Bronze categories. So with such a great team, it is only expected that these skaters will do good at the World Roller Games.
