Several trains have been cancelled or diverted due to safety works in different divisions, according to K Sandeep, senior divisional commercial manager.
Owing to operational constraints, the train No 02863, leaving Howrah on 8 August and on 15 August has been cancelled. As safety related modernisation works are in progress in the Salem division, 13352 Alappuzha- Dhanbad Bokaro express, leaving Alappuzha on 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29 August will run on a diverted route via Podanur, Irugur, Surathkal.
The train No 18190 Ernakulam- Tata Nagar express, leaving Ernakulam on 1, 8, 10. 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29 August will run on a diverted route via Podanur, Coimbatore and Irugur. Similarly, owing to non-interlock works at Kaluma station in connection with Rajnandgaon – Kaluma 3rd line work of Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway, the following trains will be cancelled or diverted.
The train No 22973 Gandhidham- Puri express leaving Gandhidham on 14 August will be cancelled
The train No 22974 Puri- Gandhidham express leaving Puri on 17 August will also be cancelled
The train No 12807 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin express leaving Visakhapatnam on 6, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 18 August will run on a diverted route via Vijayawada, Balharshah and Nagpur.
The train No 12808 Nizamuddin- Visakhapatnam express leaving Nizamuddin on 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 20 of August will run on a diverted route via Nagpur, Balharshah and Vijayawada.
The train No 22847 Visakhapatnam-LTT express, leaving Visakhapatnam on 18 August, will run on a diverted route via Vijayawada, Balharshah,Wardha and Bhusaval.
The train No 22848 LTT- Visakhapatnam express, leaving LTT on 20 August, will run on a diverted route via Bhusaval, Wardha, Balharshah and Vijayawada.
