Rahul Gandhi targets Narendra Modi, says PM is an instrument of corruption

In a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has called the PM as an “instrument of corruption”. Rahul Gandhi, who was in Shillong, Meghalaya on Wednesday, when asked about the 11,000 crore scam of the Punjab National Bank, said, “Narendra Modi is not against corruption. He is an instrument of corruption.”

“First Narendra Modi demonetised the economy, then he told the people of India to stand in queues in front of banks, then behind the banks, all the crooks changed their black money to white. Now, Nirav Modi comes along and says, ‘You know what, the money the Indian public put into banks – Rs 22,0000 crores of it – belongs to Nirav Modi. So, Nirav Modi takes the money,” Rahul Gandhi told

India Today.

The PNB scam has been causing a huge turmoil in the country and Gandhi targetted the Prime Minister on the same. He questioned why PM Modi was still silent on the whole row. Earlier in the day, replying to PM Narendra Modi’s tweet, Rahul Gandhi said that he was looking forward to knowing the former’s response to the PNB row and Rafale deal.

“Modi ji, last month you ignored my suggestions for your Mann Ki Baat monologue. Why ask for ideas when in your heart you know what every Indian wants to hear you speak about? “1. Nirav Modi’s 22,000 Crore Loot and Scoot 2. The 58,000 Crore RAFALE scam. “I look forward to your sermon,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted in reply to a tweet by PM Narendra Modi, where he asked for ideas and inputs for the upcoming Mann Ki Baat.

Mr Gandhi has been alleging that Nirav Modi fled the country with the help of the “powers that be”.
