power cuts
The State Government has decided to have the next conference of Power Ministers in Visakhapatnam after the recent one held at Vijayawada. Ajay Jain, the principal secretary of AP&IC and APCDRA focused on the need for implementation of ‘Urja Mitra’, a national programme which helps the power consumers know about power cuts. This national level programme aims at consumer service and they would be informed through prior messages about any power outages.
The digitisation of offices will be given priority, the eOffice will help reduce paperwork and hence save paper. Cost-cutting measures have to be implemented in power generation and continuous monitoring is being done in all the transmission projects in the State, including those covered in Amaravati power system and Vishakhapatnam – Chennai Industrial Corridor.
The decisions taken at the meeting held at Vijayawada were achieving 100 per cent revenue collection and increasing the efficiency of power generation departments.
Let’s hope it is implemented, ending our power cut woes!
