As road mishaps continue to menace Vizag, an Odisha man has been reported to be the latest victim in yet another road accident in the city.
As per the details provided by police, Siva Kesava Rao, a resident of Rayagada in Odisha, visited Visakhapatnam this week to purchase a two-wheeler from the city. After purchasing the vehicle, the 22-year-old went to meet his friend, Vasudeva Rao, from GITAM (Deemed to be University).
On the following day, while both the friends were travelling into the city, the bike lost control and hit a nearby road divider, thereby causing serious injuries to the rider and the pillion. While Kesava Rao died on the spot, Rao is being nursed at a hospital currently.
The incident comes to light a few days after another road accident in Visakhapatnam claimed the life of a 54-year-old man. Occurring near the Satyam Junction, the accident witnessed a car hit the victim from Resapuvanipalem, who succumbed to the injuries while being taken to a hospital.
