Ilayaraja To Be Awarded Honorary Degree by GITAM University

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The music maestro Ilayaraja; Dr. Madhavan Nair Rajeevan, Secretary of Ministry of Earth Sciences; Mr. S Rajendra Babu, former Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India and Prof. Nirmal Kumar Ganguly, former Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (IMCR) will be conferred with honorary doctorates at the 7th Convocation ceremony of Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University.

The ceremony is going to be held on the 20th of August at its Visakhapatnam premises. 2,625 students will be awarded degrees in Graduation and Post Graduation in Engineering, Management, Science, Pharmacy, Architecture and International Business courses. 35 PhDs will also be awarded. “A total of 13 gold medals and 50 first ranks would be presented to the merit students of the University”, said Prof. MS Prasada Rao, Vice Chancellor of GITAM University.
