Fire accident takes place at The Park Hotel in Vizag
The Park Hotel – Vizag was gutted in a huge fire on Monday morning. According to the initial reports from the hotel staff, no casualties have been reported due to the fire accident and the situation at The Park Hotel – Vizag is completely under control.
Senior Leading Fireman of Surya Babu Fire Station, K Shankar Rao, told Yo! Vizag, that the station received an emergency call at around 11:25 am on Monday. Assistant District Fire Officer, P Simhachalam, along with a fire fender and a crew of 7 persons rushed to the spot. Within 20 minutes, the fire was put down and the entire situation was brought under control.
Mr Rao adds that the area at the fag end of The Park Hotel – Vizag, was severely damaged due to the fire accident. “Over 60 chairs, 20 tables and a refrigerator were destroyed due to the fire outbreak”. Elucidating on the incident, the Senior Lead Fireman informs that it was due to the firecrackers that were being used to celebrate Nagula Chavithi.
With the help of fire tenders, fire extinguishers, and fire fighting personnel, the fire accident at The Park Hotel – Vizag was put down, before it could spread to other neighbouring areas.
