National Institute of Road Surveillance
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The department of transport is planning to set up high surveillance system on the National and State highways in Andhra via the National Institute of Road Surveillance. All the 13 districts are being covered and high efforts to bring down the road accidents is being taken. There are 21 national highways that pass through our state with a length of 4.423 kms.
Now, the surveillance will be set up in Vizag for the National highways. There will be cameras set up at traffic junctions including T-Junction, Y-Junction, Four-Arm Junction, Staggered Junction, Round about Junction and Manned Rail Crossing which are prone to accidents.
The State Road Transport Minister Siddha Raghava Rao has visited Vizag recently to superintend arrangements of the National meeting on Highway security and he addressed the media. He also said that he is going to meet Central Transport minister Nitin Gadkari and discuss about this proposal and the essential funds for it. According to the news released, the state is going to set up its National Institute of Road Surveillance, with a budget of Rs. 800 crore in Visakhapatnam.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
