18-year-old slips to death from a train in Vizag

In an unfortunate incident on Monday, an eighteen-year-old Diploma student slipped down from Janmabhoomi Express and died at Duvvada station in Visakhapatnam. The deceased, identified as Reddy Yerri Naidu (18), was native of Vennelapalem near Parawada in Visakhapatnam district.

As per a report in the Hans India, Naidu was pursuing a diploma at Dr. B R A GMR Polytechnic college in Rajamahendravaram of Andhra Pradesh. After spending the weekend at his home in Parawada, Naidu was all set to go back to Rajamahendravaram on Monday. The youngster, in an attempt to board his train at Duvvada station, slipped and fell down while doing so. Reportedly, Naidu sustained a major injury to his head on the rail track. Duvvada GRPF police sent the body to KGH in Vizag for postmortem.

The incident once again brings to light the necessity for following the requisite safety measures while boarding or deboarding a train, especially a moving one.
