Australia to Increase its Number of Immigrants

In a recent report, Australia wishes to encourage immigrants of South Indian students to its country. Australia has expressed its wish to increase its immigrants as it strongly believes that South Indian students are very intelligent and can make immense contributions to the economy after completing their studies in Australia itself.

Because of the openness of the country, the immigrant’s numbers have gradually increased regarding the ethnicity of immigrants. Currently, five lakhs Indians are residing in Australia out of which two lakh fifty thousand are there for excursion purposes while others are working. This is the reason why Indian culture is getting popularity in Australia and the population of ‘Hindi’ people seems to increase gradually with a rise in Hindi speakers.

However, there have been efforts by the Australian government to eliminate all the illegal immigration into their country and strict laws have been implied from the immigration authorities. Immigrant people in Australia become victims of human smugglers and then lose their lives in vain in an attempt to enter Australia through the sea. The Australia immigration procedures are quite simple. In fact, there has been a rise in the numbers of Australian immigration from India.

The Australian immigration authorities want to increase the immigration numbers of skilled laborers under general skilled migration (189). That is why it is important to understand the categories under which a candidate can score points. These points are age, language proficiency, Australian work experience and the experience in India. A candidate who has eight years overseas experience in India and no experience in Australia can get 15 points. If a candidate is showing both Australian and Indian work experience, in his resume, he can’t get more than 20 points. With an 8 years work experience in Australia, a candidate can earn up to 20 points.

This is a good news for all the students planning to study abroad as Australia might serve them as a good option for future plans. Let’s hope this plan by the Australian government goes well so that more and more Indians are welcomed in their country.
