AP PGECET covers 27,300 M.Tech seats under it in 365 colleges. The number of seats for other two courses is 2,787 in 81 colleges.

Significance of AP PGECET

AP PGECET grants admission to courses such as M.Tech, M.Pharma, and Pharm.D. But candidates should know an important thing that almost all the colleges under AP PGECET also accept GATE and GPAT scores.

Moreover, preference is given to the candidates who have good scores in GATE and GPAT. So candidates with good scores in these tests will have a better chance of getting admissions as compared to those who appear for AP PGECET.

So the question is, who all shall take it? First of all, the candidates who have not appeared for GATE/GPAT but want to take admission in Engineering/Pharma course in colleges of Andhra Pradesh must take it. As you have not appeared for the national level tests, this is your chance to get admission to desired PG College.

Also, candidates who appeared for GATE/GPAT but did not get a score which can land them in colleges of Andhra Pradesh should appear for this exam. You might not have performed well in the first instance, but you can surely make a comeback here.
