Yo! Vizag started as a print magazine in 2007 when nobody thought Visakhapatnam had enough stories worth telling. Seventeen years later, we are the city’s most followed digital platform, its largest content archive, and the go-to source for anyone who wants to know what is happening in Vizag.
Our story
Yo! Vizag was born in 2007 with a question that felt almost naive at the time: what if Visakhapatnam had its own city magazine? Not a national publication that occasionally mentioned Vizag, but something built entirely around the city — its people, its food, its culture, its stories.
For over a decade, we published a print edition that sat on coffee tables, waiting rooms, and bookshelves across the city. We built a reputation as the most trusted local voice in Vizag, one story at a time.
When Covid ended print as a viable format, we did not shut down. We doubled down on digital. What was a magazine became a platform. What was a readership became a community.
Today, Yo! Vizag reaches Vizagites wherever they are — on Instagram, on Facebook, on Telegram, and on this website. Our audience includes people who grew up reading the print edition, expats in the UAE and beyond who use us to stay connected to home, and a new generation of Vizag residents who have never known the city without us.
We are published by DSA Media Publications, headquartered at CBM Compound, Visakhapatnam. Every person who works on Yo! Vizag is from here, based here, and invested in this city.
