Vizag is fast emerging as one of the most prominent cities in the Southern region of the country. The Metro rail project is one of the most anticipated projects in Vizag.Earlier, 5 companies had submitted bids for the 43 km long Vizag Metro Rail (VMR) project.
The companies of Adani Enterprises Limited, Gurgaon, TRIL Urban Transport Private Limited, Mumbai, Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Private Limited, Mumbai, ESSEL Infraprojects Limited, Mumbai and IL&FS Rail Limited, Mumbai submitted bids for the Request for Qualification (RfQ).
UAE-based LuLu group is all set to construct its convention centre in the city of Vizag. The much-awaited project, which will be constructed with an estimated investment of Rs 2000 crore, had its foundation stone laid by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu recently. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2021, will have more than 200 national and international brands, hypermarket, 11 screens multiplex, family entertainment centre, food courts with 2,500 seats and more than 20 F&B outlets and fine dining concepts, it has been learned.
