Mohan Babu’s versatile acting and Paruchuri Gopalakrishna’s quirky dialogues were a major add-on s to the film.
The film is a remake of the 1990 Tamil film ‘Velai Kidaichiduchu’. Made in 41 days, Assembly Rowdy ran successfully for 25 weeks and was remade in Hindi as ‘Loafer’ starring Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.
