In an update, it has been reported that the doctors have confirmed the absence of toxic materials in the blood samples collected from YSRCP Chief YS Jagan. A group of doctors, who addressed the media after checking Jagan at his residence on Tuesday, also informed that the wound on the politician’s arm was 3.5 cm deep and required nine stitches.
Amidst the speculations that the knife used to attack YS Jagan might have been coated with poison, the latest update from the doctors comes as a relief to the opposition leader’s supporters all over. While the aluminium levels were reportedly were a bit high in the tests, the cause for the same is yet to be ascertained.
The doctors also told that Jagan’s health is now stable and the wound was also dressed after regular check-ups. The politician has been advised to take sufficient rest and not to strain his arm, given the impact of the wound.
YS Jagan was attacked with a knife at Vizag airport on Thursday. The attack left the politician with an injury to his left shoulder. The attacker, identified as Srinivas from East Godavari district, a worker at the airport, attacked Jagan after asking him for a selfie. When Srinivas tried to attack Jagan for the second time, he was overpowered by the people surrounding the leader. After receiving the first-aid in Vizag, the politician flew to Hyderabad, where he was admitted to a hospital for further treatment.
