The crimes against women are coming to a grotesque count. According to a recent report filed by a 24-year-old girl victim, she was raped by her brothers and own father. The case was lodged by the girl at the two town police station during the late hours of Thursday. She has accused the father and her two male cousins of rape.
The girl, bereft of her mother, was staying at her father’s place for studies in Vizag. Her mother had separated from her father and currently, lives in Nellore. The girl’s father, who stands as one of the accused, has remarried twice and has 2 sons.
The girl had previously stayed in Vizianagaram with her father’s sister. However, she had moved to her father’s house a year earlier to pursue her studies. It is at this house, present at Dabagardens, that this unfortunate incident had occurred.
This case has sparked an outrage over the helplessness of women in the city. The sorry state of affairs has already started the investigation to bring justice to the girl. The mother and the stepmother of the victim have been contacted for further information pertaining to the case.
