XIMB celebrates 30 years with a Business Excellence Summit that reaches successful conclusion

Xavier Institute of Management, XIMB inaugurated the Business Excellence Summit on September 22 at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. The event had the august presence of twenty six distinguished alumni of the college from the 30 years of foundation. The aim of the event being an insightful blend of ideas through collaboration, interaction and discussion reached successful culmination.

The summit commenced with Father Augustine delivering the welcome address. Father took a trip down the memory lane and spoke about how XIMB came into being 30 years ago. He spoke with immense pride the achievements of the college and the students. He mentioned how reflecting and building a vision acts as a roadmap for the future. This was followed by the Dean of XIMB, Dr. Subhajyoti Ray introducing the alumni to the audience and felicitating them. Vice Chancellor and Director of Xavier University,Dr. Fr. Paul Fernandes,concluded the inauguration ceremony of the Business Excellence Summit by delivering an enlightening speech on excellence and universal education. “We need to put on and make sure we are able to have conviction and commitment in the future.” He believed that there is a need to, think, reflect, inspire, and empower minds to achieve this excellence.

Day two of the summit comprised of panel discussions on topics that aimed to discuss the challenges XIMB would have to surmount in the next ten years.

Rahul Patnaik, Student Representative of XIMB, thanked the management and the alumni along with the core team, the volunteers and the students of XIMB for making the Business Excellence Summit 2017 an event to cherish for years to come. Ipsit Bibhudarshi, Student Media and PR Coordinator of XIMB, credited the grand success of the Summit to the management and the esteemed alumni who graced the event with their presence.
