Chocolate Brand M&M sets foot in India

American company M&M’s has set its foot into the Indian market. The m&m chocolate brand hopes that this would further boost their Indian market share. The Mars International India has tasted huge success here with its chocolates such as Snickers.

Addressing a conference in Chennai, Andrew Leakey, General manager, India & Indian Sub-Continent, Mars Chocolate Ltd., said that “India is a priority market for Mars Incorporated and we are committed to bringing our best-loved brands to the Indian consumers. With the launch of the brand in India, our aim is to grow the nascent bite-size category in the market. All over the world, our brands are loved for their quality, great taste and the value they deliver.” He expressed his confidence that the product’s uniqueness will definitely make it a hit in the Indian market as well.

As a part of its promotional campaign, the company used two of its famous characters, Mr. Red, and Mr. Yellow in a picture. The two fictional characters are seen waving their hands in the famous Sholay scooter at the iconic Gateway of India.

The chocolates have been made available in two flavours of peanut and chocolate. They are available in 45 gm and 100 gm packs which are priced at Rs 80 and Rs 150 respectively.
