Woman found dead under suspicious conditions in Visakhapatnam

A woman aged around 40 years, was found dead near Chinnayyapalem in Sabbavaram Mandal, Visakhapatnam district on Saturday night. Reportedly, the residents nearby found the woman’s body on Sunday morning and informed the police immediately.

Circle Inspector, M Srinivasa Rao, and Sub Inspector, N Prabhakar Reddy arrived at the spot on receiving the information and identified injuries on the woman’s body. After arriving at the location, the police found the woman in a sorry state. They suspected the involvement of more than one miscreant in the murder of the deceased woman.

According to Times of India, the woman’s body was found with bruises all over the body, her throat was slit and the cops also suspect that she was beaten with an iron rod. Reportedly, her battered face might also indicate that the murderers even tried to hide her identity before dumping the body in an isolated place.

Under the supervision of Anakapalle D.S.P Prasad Rao, the Clues Team and a sniper dog arrived at the spot. While the sniper dog went towards Chinnayyapalem in Visakhapatnam and stopped there, the Clues Team collected spectacles, footwear and a few other items of the woman from the spot.

The identity of the woman is yet to be known. The police, while speaking to TOI, stated that they have registered a complaint and are trying to establish the identity of the body found. They also suspect that the woman doesn’t belong to the area as per the toe rings found on her body. An investigation is on to gain further insights.
