A well walked walk for World Hospice and Palliative care day

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]How many of us know about the big movie releases happening this week? We’re sure at least around 90% of the readers metaphorically put one of their hands up, some even both their hands. Now, how many of you know about World Hospice and Palliative care day? Anyone? Though some may have shook their heads in agreement, chances are that there was a drastic change in the number who answered ‘yes’ compared to the previous question. It is no one’s fault, but we tend to get too involved in the materialistic affairs nowadays rather than paying attention to things that matter and help make a difference.

The aim of World Hospice and Palliative care day is to raise awareness and understanding of the needs – medical, social, practical, spiritual – of people living with a life limiting illness and their families as well as raise funds to support and develop hospice and palliative care services around the world. Vizag can proudly say that they sure made a difference today. The beach road witnessed a huge crowd today morning at 6am; a crowd that varied in caste, age, gender and religion, a crowd that cared for those who are in need. It was, without a doubt, one of the most noble events that Vizag hosted till date.
