VUDA has won the ‘Best Civic Management of a Tourist Destination’ award, in the State Annual Tourism Excellence Awards for 2015-2016. This award will be presented by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Sudha Kumar Saka, Director of Tourism, AP, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada.
This is being given in considering VUDA’s meticulous work in redefining Kailasgiri and Visakhapatnam Airport that were damaged severely in October 2014 due to HudHud. Apart from these, VUDA has taken certain measures to beautify the city during the International Fleet Review in February 2016. It has also completed the projects of Central Park, Smart Park at Pandurangapuram, World Telugu Museum and Buddhavanam in Health Arena. VUDA has completed most of these projects in a span of four months and receiving this will definitely be an appreciation and a moral booster to do more.
Apart from VUDA, ‘The Park’ has been awarded “Best Five-Star Environment-Friendly Hotel” award, ‘Tycoon’ has won the “Best Stand-Alone Restaurant” award and ‘Sunray Resorts’ has been declared as “Best Theme Resort”. Way to go Vizag 🙂
