Unveiling the first Plug-In hybrid SUV in the country, the Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence, Volvo Auto India has upped the standards of classiness and innovation in the automobile industry.

Based on the globally acclaimed and awarded SUV XC90, this SUV is built on Volvo’s modular Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) and comes with the award-winning T8 Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain as standard, offering three distinct driving modes in one car – Pure, Hybrid and Power. It is the first car in India to be equipped with Radar based safety.

The XC90 T8 features extended leather-covered surfacing, finest quality upholstery and hand-crafted crystal glasses, gear knob from the Swedish glass maker Orrefors, and surround sound with Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Termed as ‘first class luxury’, it is a rolling palace of opulence. The superior comfort of the individual and adjustable rear seats, combined with a massage function and specially designed headrests, is further augmented with a refrigerator, two folding tables and cup holders with both heating and cooling options.

The Excellence is equipped with 360 degrees radar and inputs from camera activate an array of pre-emptive safety functions. Apart from the radar-based safety the car is equipped with a strong safety cage, seat-belt pre-tensioners, World-first Run Off-road Protection system, Side Impact protection and Whiplash protection. The XC90 T8 engine is a no compromise equation of power and low fuel consumption, coupled with world class low emissions. Further, Volvo offers two charging stations included in the price of the T8 Excellence.  If the charging stations are installed at home and office then it provides up to 80km per day of emissions–free driving.
