The officials of the Education Department have identified 124 unrecognised schools in Vizag and have taken a decision to seal each and every school which do not bear proper credentials. A sudden inspection was carried out around the city on Wednesday.
Management of some the private, unrecognised educational institutions, have locked their gates to stay away from inspection.
District Education officer, B Lingeswara Reddy, said that they have sealed 12 unrecognised schools in the last two days. Speaking to TOI, he mentioned, ” Operating the schools without recognition amounts to the willful violation of the Right to Education Act. We have asked the schools to close their shops and to not ruin the future of the children. The parents should be aware of the unrecognised schools as the students would lose their valuable academic year. We will continue our checks until all the unrecognised institutions in the district are closed down.”
Chaitanya School in Narsipatnam, Narayana Techno School in NAD Junction, Siva Sivani
Public School in Gangavaram, Pavani School in Akkayyapalem, Annapurna School in Gajuwaka, Amulya School in Kancharpalem, Gowthami School in ASR Nagar, RK Ideal School in Baaji Junction, Pearl High School in Sriharipuram, Bharati Vidya Vihar in Balayya Sastry Layout, Greenfield School in Bheemili are the institutions seized by the officials of ED in Vizag.
