Mila’s Street Festival : Vizag’s own Tomatina is here to paint the city red

Be it either while reading about it or even while watching ‘Ek Junoon Ek Deewangi’ from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, how dearly did you want to be a part of the Tomatina Festival? From smashing the friends with ripe tomatoes to being a part of a town painted red, La Tomatina, a Spanish festival, is an event that has garnered fame all around the globe. Much to the delight of all the local enthusiasts, Mila’s Street Festival is here to mark Vizag’s own La Tomatina.

Come this Holi and Mila’s Street Festival will be set to paint the city of destiny with new colours. In addition to the Tomatina, the festival will even have other attractions such as food stalls and clothing bazaars.

The Tomatina festival will be celebrated with 3 tons of overripe tomatoes, which are unfit for consumption. The tomatoes are collected from different marketplaces and farmers and are being brought into the city for the festival.

Other Attractions

The festival is intended for creating a marketplace for cloth stores, designers, and fabric manufacturers across India. In addition to the Tomatina, other attractions such as street art rendezvous, food and clothing stalls, campfire, sky lantern festival also look poised to keep the crowd hooked. While DJs Nash and Rica, from Bengaluru, will be enthralling everyone with their rocking numbers, Dahi ka Handi and Teenmaar, with their cheerful themes, will be drawing in participants in large numbers to pep up the spirits of Holi.

Event Details

When: March 2nd, 2018

Venue: R.K beach, OPP. Hawa Mahal, besides Gokul Park, near Novotel, Vizag

Timings: Tomatina- 11 am-2 pm, Food and Fashion Bazaar- 2pm-11pm

Registration Details: There would be an individual pass for the event, which would Rs 500. The pass will be giving the purchaser an access to the day-long event.
