As a step towards curbing plastic use and maintaining cleanliness, the authorities have come up with a unique idea of placing several catchy posters at the city‘s railway station.
“Though passengers won’t be fined for the use of plastic, they are regularly told to avoid it inside the station. We want to attract the attention of passengers, so we thought these Tollywood movie stars would have a good impact. Fines are being imposed on vendors using plastics starting from
Rs 500,” Divisional Railway Manager MS Mathur was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.
