When are Vizag’s much-awaited projects expected to be completed?

Over the past few years, multiple promises have been made to Vizag. While a few of them have started taking roots, others haven’t materialised yet. These promises, if turned into reality soon, would expectedly bolster the city’s image and help it flourish with many more opportunities. Here is when the much-awaited projects in the city are expected to be completed.

#1 NAD Flyover

The NAD junction is one of the prime centres in the city and faces traffic related issues throughout the day. A busy junction, which is a part of NH5, that is well connected to the airport and other prominent locales in the city, this place requires better management of the traffic congestion and the upcoming NAD flyover is deemed to do the same. The works on the flyover had started last month and are expected to be completed by November 2019.

#2 Walmart

The much-awaited Walmart store in Visakhapatnam is likely to start its operations from July this year. The retail giant’s store in Gajuwaka, spread over 56,000 sq ft, is at an advanced stage of completion. It has also been learned that the store is being constructed with an estimated investment of Rs 60 crores.

#3 LuLu Mall

The much-awaited project, which will be constructed with an estimated investment of Rs 2000 crore, had its foundation stone laid by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu recently. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2021, will have more than 200 national and international brands

#4 Vizag metro rail

One of the much-awaited projects that has been hitting multiple blockades ever since it was first announced. Despite multiple studies and surveys, the project has failed to take off yet. Earlier, 5 companies had submitted their bids in the race for the project. While there is still no clarity on when it would take off, people expect to hear an update soon.
